The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is a charity close to OPM’s heart, and over the years, we have been actively involved in fundraising activities to keep its doors open and its wards fully operational.

One of the highlights on our calendar at OPM is the Coniston Challenge Day, which offers participating teams the opportunity of raising funds for the hospice in an exciting and challenging way. With scheduled events such as clay-pigeon shooting, target golf and off-road driving, the day offers an exhilarating line up of activities. Meanwhile, the late afternoon and evening offers participants a time to relax, participate in an auction and enjoy a hog-roast dinner at the stunning Coniston Hotel and Spa!

Now in its 12th year, this will be first Coniston Challenge Day taking place since the last event in 2019 when COVID restrictions then hampered fundraising efforts and we are extremely excited to pledge our support once again!

Team OPM has always had a memorable day participating in the Coniston Challenge and we invite other companies to join us during a fun-filled day hosted in a superb location.  There is no better way than to join in the fun while raising money for a worthy cause!

The Coniston Day Challenge takes place on Thursday, July 7.

Based in Oxenhope, West Yorkshire, the Sue Ryder Manorlands hospice offers a vital support function to families living in Craven, Airedale, Wharfedale as well as parts of Bradford, providing expert palliative and neurological care, coupled with bereavement support.

All services are free to patients and their loved ones, but costs can become prohibitive: keeping the doors open costs £9,500 a day – or nearly £3.5 million a year. With only a small part of these expenses covered by statutory funds, the hospice is reliant on voluntary donations and fund-raising days.
