Our latest work experience candidate, Isobel, spent a week with us. She was given a custom factory tour and spent time in each of our departments, so she could see how everyone in our team plays an important role.
Her main task for the week was to create a label for a chocolate box which we printed digitally for her.

“From the moment I walked in, everyone was very welcoming, and I felt at ease straight away. With the variety of roles that comes with manufacturing, having the opportunity to be involved in each department really is an eye opener to the many positions within the company. It was amazing to see both the practical and administrative side, with thorough explanations in each section of OPM.
There are fantastic teamwork skills between everyone and as a family-owned business, it really does feel like a family. OPM care about their staff and equally care about the service they are giving, which is evidentially shown through the quality of their work.
My favourite part in my work experience week was the tour of the factory floor. Seeing the technology and having an insight into each department makes you realise just how much work and organisation is put into each job. OPM is a very organised, forward-thinking company. They make sure everything is in order and quality checked to achieve the perfect finished product for their clients.
Skills that have stood out to me is how engaging and passionate everyone is. I’ve seen how everyone is very knowledgeable, even in departments that they don’t work in, which accentuates the great understanding and communication between everyone.
